The one 8,592
I went out lamping last night 40 miles up the road ,old boys got two fields each side of a old railway usaully get a good bag ,last night the first front field was very quiet saw a few round the back .Then i came back round the second field at the front and i lamped his garden as there usually some rabbits there and i clocked a pair of eyes under one of his sheds ,as i lined up the shot i saw it was a big polecat ferret . I went over and was right above it and it looked like it had a big tick on the back of its neck ,then it must have heard me as it went under his shed and just the tail was sticking out i thought will i pull the tail .Then i thought sod that it will grab me so i got a rabbit and wiggled that under his shed then stood back but it didn't reappear ,so after id finished i came back for another look but there was no sign of it. After i came home i thought i will nip up tommorrow with a couple of jills and fire one under his shed and see if she draws it out ,but no joy it must have moved on .So i though i will just ferret the open burrow's in the field and see it i can find it no joy there either ,And a cow took a dislike for the lucher and charged her and i got a knock to the knee for no getting out the road fast enough . So tommorrows a day of rest and back on the lamping on monday night Quote Link to post
ratman 1 0
you could put a carry box full with hay out at night by the shed maybe so it gets the morning sun and maybe 1/4 of a rabbit in the box prop the lid up with a stick thats if you would like it Quote Link to post
stubby 175
if you had pulled it out quick enough by its tail, it wouldent have had the chance to bite, have pulled ferts out of burrows quite a few times by the tail Quote Link to post
