cbw 4
As stated in my profile, it was my Father who got me interested in shooting and fishing, we did lots of shooting on Thornwood common and Carp fishing on North Weald (20lb Carp in the 70s!!!) Anyhow lets get to the point, I have spoken to two of my permissions that are interlinked and they both think its great that I am taking my elderly Father out for a couple of hours shooting. I am planning to take an air rifle and my rimfire, is it ok to let my Dad use my RF? I know we will not be seen or questioned and it was my Father who taught me field craft and how to handle a rifle. Is it legal? CBW Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
My understanding is, if you are the landowner, or acting as his agent, and the gun is always under your supervision, then it is ok. But it remains your responsibility. Matt Quote Link to post
cbw 4
Thats great it means I can relax and enjoy returning a favour from many years ago. I remember his face a few years ago when he caught his first '30' on my carp gear. (same as my first double on his gear in the 70s) Now it will be his turn to shoot a few bunnies with my rifle!!!! It really is strange how things turn around!!?? CBW Quote Link to post

Deker 3,491
As previously stated....If you are the landowner, the agent of the landowner or have the landowers consent (de facto the landowner), you can take out another party under your control and in your earshot using one of your guns! But he cannot use one of his guns unless he is the landowner, the agent of the landowner, etc etc...!! Don't ask..I know it sounds daft!!! Quote Link to post
