neil cooney 10,416
It's never too late. How do you know it stay'd too far back? If the terriers marked then it wasn't too far back. if it's not marked how do you know it was working at all? Unless of course you then entered a worker and it found. If it was working a bit from it's quarry you'll find with confidence the terrier will work closer. Remember 1000s of terriers have been ruined by early entering but there's never been a terrier ruined yet by being held back. Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
Whatever the age enter them like a youngster. Early success and keep them keen is what you want. For a novice to bolt his fox or for his owner to crown in on him and lift him is the reward they need. Never work them sore and if a youngster has bad luck make sure next time out he has a good time and experience. JMHO. Quote Link to post
