Another to Identify please

Another one to identify please.........you can't see it too clearly but he has a yellow stripe down the side as well i just wondered what he will turn into.....moth or butterfly?

Not sure but he could be some sort of Hawk Moth, seen some very similar last year. Sure someone will correct me when they've researched it.

Hard to tell from that pic. Can you please tell me if it was long like a twig. In the pic i cannot tell if it was "hooped" up a bit. If it is it may be a green form of something like a peppered moth.....

Its not a hawk moth.....JD

yeah......hooped up a bit in that picture........it was about 30mm long with a yellow stripe along both flanks.

Hard to get a positive ID mate from that piccy.....if i had to guess...maybe a mamber of the Prominant family......but cannot guess more,,lol

 

 

I would concur with Mr. J.D. and say that it might be a Swallow Prominent.....Pheosia tremula

:clapper: Although a 100% positive ID would be hard from that piccy....good call Martin. ;)
