Newcomer - can anyone help?

Hi,

I'm a newcomer to this forum and I live in Swansea. I would love to get into hunting as I am a keen cook and can think of nothing better than going out and getting my own produce. I went hunting with my uncle as a kid but I was very young then and I wouldn't have a clue where to start now!

Is anyone prepared for me to tag along and learn the ropes? As I say, I live in Swansea but I don't mind travelling a bit if needed.

Thanks

greetings, nice to see someone intrested in the finer arts :) what sort of hunting are you wanting to take part in [bANNED TEXT].? Ferreting, lamping, air rifle shooting? Do you have access to any land? More to the point do you like crawling around in thick brambles spending hours removing thorns. I thought there was plenty of boys in the swansea area that where into hunting. There are plenty down here intrested but quarry is hard to find. Once rabbit numbers explode it aint long before every man and his dog turn up for some sport. Who could blame them :) Im sure there must be a few boys on here that are closer to you than I, If you get stuck give me a shout, will be ferreting flat out from this month on, if it ever stops raining.

Hi,

I don't know what happened here but it looks as though I started 2 threads? I'm only now seeing your reply, so apologies for not responding. Having picked up on my other thread, SS very kindly took me out lamping last Wednesday night and it was a great introduction. He is a top bloke and very knowledgable. I'd like to do more and really get into it, I'm a keen cook and the whole process from field to table is amazing. SS very kindly gave me a rabbit that he shot whilst we were out and it was fantastic.

Apologies for not responding to you earlier - I have no idea what happened here? Thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

Regards

Gareth
