Yesterday i went with my uncle to look in the pheasant pens he had his 12g so i took my air rifle aswell to shoot some rabbits on the way down (to wet for car  ) got 3 rabbits between us i got one then he got to but also scared away all the other rabbits within a mile(shotgun)

he keeps his pheasants in a pretty big pen in a wood so we went to feed them filled up the feed barrel and we sore a pile feathers behind the shelter so i went to look two dead pheasants and this black b*stard looking at me so i shouted of my uncle the mink couldnt get away cos i got him cornerd he passed me my air rifle because his shotgun would of upset the other pheasents and he looks through the scope with the rong eye so he couldnt shoot it  i lined up my sights missed first shot by then the mink went mental and was running round in circles and woulndnt sit still so i fired anuver shot at it and by a complete fluke i got it in the neck stone dead so my uncles sending it to the tapidermist

il try to get some pics up of it when its done

Age is irrelevent.

My point was simply that the anti's will use this as an example of just blasting away without a thought that the animal might suffer. We're constantly exhorted not to take shots unless we can guarantee a head shot. We can't have it all roads.

Don't bend this to imply that I don't think the mink should have been killed. I know what devastation they can wreak to the local wildlife.
