Waz 4,302
In between (fingers crossed) the weather and doing a bit with the hounds, this weekend ill be making a start on new kennells. The area is 5m x 5m there be some steel in there and grid drains is 100mm concrete enough? Does this work out at 2.5 cubes? Anyone know how much dust ill need and ballast? How long dya reckon to knock that lot up? Cheers.
Guest alastair
if mixing up by hand( need mixer)aprox 2.5 cubic metres needed so about 4.5/5 ton ballast and 25 bags cement and 2 men would make easy work of it .
dfee 1
100mm should be plenty,if i was doing 2.5 metres id buy it in the concrete with be all the same consistensy and it will all be in in 1 pour, giving you more time to get it level and trowelled off.its a fair bit of concrete to be mixing and laying unless theres a few of you. I make you right, but the nearest a lorry could get is 25 metre away. I might do it in 2 halfs. Thanks for the replies fellas Edited September 5, 2008 by GD Waz

Thanks for the replies fellas You could do it in two half's, when you take the shuttering off for the second pour make sure you rough the edge of your first pour so there is a good key and it will look almost seamless, and less of a p*ss and s*it trap
