alright mate :good: i love shooting in the winter as there are no leaves on the trees and the under growth has usually dies down so it is perfect for shooting pigeons squirels and of course rabbits.

i prefair to be shooting in the wooded areas as there is as much cover as your guna get that time of year.

i will hopefuly be dishing my posts full of picks out that time of year.

good luck liam

hi mate one thing to keep in mind us that for the best part the rabbits woodies and squidgies that are around have survived the summer and spring so most will be on extra lookout so take the time stalking

also remember that just because its winter doesn't allways meen it will be cold winter sun can keep you just as warm as summer sun so allways take some warmer weather clothes

the end of harvest and a few cold snaps (if we get any) means the rats will be moving back into farm yards and buildings looking for food/warmth!

always a good time of year to bash a few scaly tails and a good way to get permission too! no farmer likes to have rats about the place!

ps dont be put off by the wind an rain! get out in it and get some practice in it! its surprising how many animals are out in it too!

for me once the tree's are bare it's gotta be roost shooting for corvid's 'n' woodies. i also love silouhette shooting. best winter shooting goin. if you can find a big enough roost site. but i also love pluggin squirrel's in the autumn early morning stalking as they are busy gathering the nut crop. it's usually while i'm doing this that i get my jay tally up a few notches aswell . :gunsmilie::victory:
