Permission Blues

Recommended Posts

How many times did you get told 'NO!' before you finally managed to get some digging permission?

I know the farmer down the road from me and he lets me over when i want ratting but i got a bitch that will be a good age to hopefully, fingers crossed, get working this year, The farmer near home though doesnt have any holes on his ground and doesnt communicate with other farmers do cant put the word out!

Its starting to drive me mad!

Them bale stacks in your pic are as good a place to look as any earths .Not really found a farm with no holes no known ones maybe but once you start looking ..Also gateway pipes are usually good in bad weather

the only holes i have found on his ground are rabbit holes and i have only seen a few mooching about, but farmer boy did see a few this spring during lambing,

There are however gateway pipes. Thing is His farm is split into 2 seperate areas about a mile apart. The bit nearest home (literally 2 min walk!) is where he does his lambing and a large proportion is wet marshy land...and im pretty sure the RSPB have some sort of conservation rights blah blah blah. Its gets pretty wet here in the winter obviosuly but tere are plenty of drains. Will wet drains ever hold foxes??

hi mate why not ask him if he got anywhere ya can put a false one ?

I have been thinking of that. If i do build a false one, will it some how help attract charlie to the ground because i have only seen a few and assume they are just passing through. Plus there is a small syndicate shoot near by and the keeper is a self confessed night vision expert AKA a TWAT
