maty j 6 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Share Posted August 8, 2008 I trained my bitch to sit, stay, blind stay, hand signals etc. I think it just gives the dog that extra string to there bow if they can do more tasks. I don't think I could put her at the edge of a wood and walk it through though, she'd be back by me as soon as my back was turned incase she was missing anything Soon as I go for some pellets for the airgun and the tin rattles she's by my side. undisputed 1,664 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Share Posted August 8, 2008 I train the sit/down stay command to the big dog.........IMHO it is one of the handiest commands to teach, especially if you do a bit of ferreting. Blind stay as well...........it has no end of uses in the field. absolutely! there's nothing worse than a dog that wanders round netted holes...2nd point spot on too.! Quote Link to post
