jollyhunter 0
can [NO TEXT TALK] tell me iff they are ang good??? Quote Link to post
lurchergrrl 1,441
Just asked a mate of mine about this 'cause I couldn't really remember. Apparently raw potatoes contain an enzyme that dogs can't digest ... but if they're cooked, they're ok Quote Link to post
Guest longslip
i dont give mine them because they cant digest them, they sit in the dogs gut for a couple of days and get vommited up. Dont know if all dogs are the same. Quote Link to post
KIPO 2
Hi We use spuds and if boiled like you would for eating then I get chicken which have been cooked which had been in human chain and where not sold I boil up in a pressure cooker take all meat of keep all stock then mix potatoes and chicken together then can freeze use when you want and had biscuits and as the potatoes have lots carbohydrate , fibre ,strach, protien. and potatoes are a big stapel diet for many sO I think cannot harm my dogs I will give our dogs this mixture twice week rest they get sheep tripes as I am lucky can still get tripe . ps dont forget to cook your spuds if going to try . sandymere 8,263
Agree with Kipo if cooked potatoes are a good source of carbs but i wouldn't give them as a large part of the diet. They will certainly be ok as part of a balenced diet one or twice a week ie table scraps etc. Quote Link to post
