Just wondering if any of you guy's keep a journal or diary of what you hunt. I've had one since I first had Lurchers and find looking back on them on wet miserable days quite entertaining. Also lets me keep an acurate tally of what my dogs and some of my friends dogs have done over successive seasons. Anyone else do this and how much detail do you record....cheers! :icon_eek:

I used to keep a journal for many years.......I only had to open it at any page and start to read and the memories of that particular day would come flooding back. I still keep a record of large bags, things of interest......etc. But i am too busy to actually record every single outing. I do an awful lot of writing at times (take that which way you like) and i find that the old journals are a valuable source of information.......even down to the weather conditions of a particular day month or year. I would recommend that all budding authors should record the early years of their hunting lives, as you may never know when it may come in useful. Even if you have no intention of ever using the information contained therein........it is lovely to look back and read about days long past and to reflect on the happy days spent out in the woods and fields.
