Threading a barrel

Recommended Posts

Thanks all for that, most enlightening.

I purchased the rifle as "factory threaded" but when there was not a device to protect the thread and the shop said there wasn't one in the box, I called the manufacturer who said they don't factory thread barrels! So obviously this was done by a gunsmith. I am not too worried if the shop can get me one made, but will a poorly made one affect accuracy?

it cant afect accuracy mate in less it gets in the way of the bullet :icon_eek: what size is the thread i mite have one here you can have

Don't know the thread size but it has a wildcat mod fitted.

it could be a number of threads mate. what rifle is it on and what thickness is the barrel ?
