mart123blue 0
I have aquired three gas cylinders 2 propane 13kg and 17kg, one butane 7kg. I have the following gas powered items never used. Gas BBQ Patio Heater Camping Stove All of these have regulators which do not fit the cylinders which are all empty. Does it matter which cylinder I use, at the moment I am tempted to just go out and buy a regulator and get the 7kg butane filled. Is this the most boring topic in history? SEAN3513 7
both propane and butane run at the same pressure ( regulated to 37 mbar) the difference is that propane has a higher calorific value ( meaning it burns hotter). all of the appliances you have will run ok on both gases.......but check instructions/data plates first!!!!!! but, you will have to change regulators if you change cylinders. hope this helps sean

mart123blue 0
I thought so, but thanks. Finally is anywhere particularly cheap to get them refilled? One of the cylinders is marked flogas, the other calorgas will this matter as to where I get them refilled. Thanks for not nodding off. Mart
SEAN3513 7
its at the discretion of the retailer. some will take others bottles others won't!!!! calor are the worst......will only accept their own !!! shop around as prices vary quite alot!!.......even on the same gas!!! cheers sean
