Mr_Logic 5
Very tidy. What calibre is the rifle in question? Edit : Missed the question on my rifle, it's a Remington SPS Tactical in 223, fed with the 40gr Federals this time round (but not long term because though I love tight groups the bank manager doesn't like bunny bashing at a quid a bang!). Just lightened the trigger, too, since that group so can't wait to get back out with it. Edited July 18, 2008 by Mr_Logic Quote Link to post

Mr_Logic 5
These remington things do seem to be able to shoot! That said, my Howa does a similar size of group with 50gr American Eagle (a bit bigger, but not much at all) and my RWS shoots very tight groups with 85gr HP Federal (which i don't use as it's £1.20 a bang and my 40p Prvi will stop a deer no worries). But Remington has a reputation for accuracy and it's deserved. Oh, does yours have the XMark trigger or have you added an aftermarket one? I am a big fan of their new trigger, couldn't want much better on a hunting rifle. Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
All this chat about Remingtons !! Other rifles ain't that bad either - shot this group last summer (the last time I photo'd a target) at just under 150 yards - I'm an old codger so it could have shot better in more capable (non shaking) hands http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb81/di...250at148yds.jpg Peter Quote Link to post
Deker 3,491
You boys.....!!!! It's incredible what you can do with a sharpened pencil after a bit of practice Nearly had me going there until you mentioned Remington, mind you I didn't see the little Pixie running out and punching Mr Logics Target...but it was very dark by then and I could hardly see the white of the target, let alone the bull! Now then...what did I do with that 250 yard target I shot with my 12ft lb air rifle......???? Quote Link to post

redfox 275 0
Remmy Could you tell us how much your duracoat cost and how long you were without the rifle. I am looking to get a new rifle Remington XCR Compact tactical and have the metal work done, along with mod etc to match. Couldn't do it to my custom rifle though, tolerances to close on the bolt. A little question regards your use of 87 gr V-max on deer, have you had any really blow up and destroy a deer carcase. I am looking to find a nice soft point for my 6mm BR, currently use a 75gr v-max for fox, but have seen a roe wasted as meant was that bruised . shot in the chest and dropped like a stone but on skinning off the next day, even back legs were bruised!!! Cheers Redfox Quote Link to post
