JackReid 35
Greetings all. Suffering from a hungover here from my mates 21st BBQ yesterday, Decided to take along 4 rabbits (3 from night before, 1 from a few days ago) and a squirell (the squirell in my house sitting topic haha) to the BBQ to mix it up a bit! Most the girls werent impressed at the frozen squirell in a bag, but if they only knew the fate in which their burgers came to be! Squirel had it much quicker! Anyway the night before the BBQ, me and a mate who has had a few probs with his gun sorted it all out and had a good rezero with me and we set out to the usual farm. I had found another whole field on the outskirts of the farm the night before that , the field was just grassy and literally a mile squared i recon. One side of it was a hedgerow where you could see the sheer ammount of rabbit activity. they must have not been disturbed for some time. So I decided that eve to go set up there. However there waere quite a few tall stems of some sort, very thin like grass that acte dlike a bit of a maze for a clear no deflecting shot as we all know even a blade close to the mussle end will mess up your shot. One came out about 50 yrds up and I got impatient and crawled it to about 40, then the rabbit ran about 5my way and I dropped him. Missed another big one due to a blade of grass I hadnt seen which was a shame. Ended up going back towards the usual part of the permission where we have greatly reduced their presence round the whole permission, muchto the joy of the farmer. My mate had got one when I got back, and as he was on a unlucky streak he was pleased. Ended up getting another big one and a smaller one myself.. Fairly good evening as the rabbits are quite hard to nail in large ammounts up the farm at the moment, they seem alot more adjusted to the fact there is usually 2 airgunners walking around almost EVERY night! Hugh 0
HI, I'm the mate... we do go up at various times of the day, but in the last 3 - 4 months we estimate we have dispatched 200+ rabbits, there are still plenty about but it's becoming more of a challenge, which isn't necessarily a bad thing Jack's using a HW95K and I'm using a BSA Supersport MK II, I prefer Jack's, but mine certainly does the job well enough Quote Link to post

Hugh 0
I'm considering getting a Theoben gas ram fitted, altho still keeping it within the 12ft Ibs limit to improve consistency and performance. I was also considering getting a silencer, but the added length might be a bit too much! It's a great rifle as it is, but I've found it can be a bit inconsistent at times compared to the HW95K. Maybe it's jsut my shooting! Quote Link to post
