bullmastiff 615
Which day is it? I'm not working Sunday for a change!!! Do you know where?, when?, if dogs are allowed, etc. LadyP any info grateful! It's probably one of the closer hunt's to me and I know nothing about them! Portman Hunt open day (Sunday 20th) has been moved due to kennel cough? but still got the dog show / Show Jumping going on (not that mine are in a pretty state to win any prize's, but I'll go along to show support?) Cheers Luke.

bullmastiff 615
CHAMPION LURCHER WAS ANDY TOTTLE WITH JAKE.RES CHAMPION WAS MIKE ROWLANDS WITH JET. I got there about 3.30pm with my daughter and dogs, tried chatting to a few people watching the terriers but just got mainly dirty looks and silence, so sat down watching the last of the Lurcher classes and got a more civil reception, chatting to a guy with a black bull whippet (he won under 23" bitch) then started watching the Terriers again once he left, only to hear a couple of people asking one of the organizers stood behind me why I was there as I clearly didn't work terriers (I only went for a day out with my daughter and to show some support for a local hunt). Surely they couldn't of thought I was an anti as both my dogs show signs of being workers, so it could only be rudeness! I stayed to the end to see who won (as a lot of the so called 'Terrier-men' didn't when their dogs lost) then ended up leaving the show with a happy 3yr old (she's dog crazy) and a thoroughly pissed off me! Pik1.co.uk the event photographers took some really good shots of the show though! Can't say I'll be going again! (if I did I'd leave when the rest of the Lurcher people do!!) foxhuntingmad 1
Sorry that you were mad to feel like that Bullmastiff. Some people are so full off themselves and bitchy about others. I'm pretty sure it was my bloke who they were really talking about and not you. He went in the hunt terrier mans class (he was one once..a long time ago) just to wind these type of people up (he is wicked). He did ask the organiser first! he he. It is all a bit of fun but a small few take it too seriously. I am helping the Chipstable Terrier Boys to run their 1st Terrier & Lurcher Show on the 10th August at Bathealton. Hope you can come along. We have got lots of kiddies prizes (and a childrens tombola) in all rings so bring your little girl along. Come and say Hi if you come. I will have the biggest ass at the show! and wear glasses. The Chipstable Terrier Boys are a great laugh and can be found with beer cans welded to their hands. Take Care Angela
