Cant beat nostalgia.

When I was a nipper spent all my holidays in my uncles cattle lorries collecting from farms delivering to the 'local' markets and then on to the slaughter houses after the sales.

Markets at St Neots, St Ives, Bedford, Cambridge, Northampton, Kettering and Thrapston to name a few!

Think only Thrapston is still running?

Happy days but changing times now!

ive had some laughs there dd the small pub oppersit the market was the sarecans head i think

i used to sell alot of gear there of the back of the pick up no commision to pay then

i went one week about 20 years ago with a mate we called jippo john in an old austin maxi car

he had this great idea of buying this billy goat for 6 quid well he bought it and i said how the fcensoredk

are you going to get it home he replied in the motor, your having a laugh i screamed, now this was a big

stinking billy with fecking great horns well he opened one door and the window on the other door tied a rope

round its neck and dragged it in the car i shut the door and he lent over the front seat and done the window up

with the rope in the window to hold it you could imagine the looks anyway we got him back to his place and john

had him for a good few years in his back garden on a council estate in watford

well thats one very true story of many great days at hertford market

cheers bb
