ive not had the honour of seeing one in action but ive read some good reviews on them in the shooting mags which are normally brutally honest on reviews. LOOk at the ups and downs of spring,co2, and precharged etc, and decide whats right for the type of shooting you do.

I know everyones skint at the minute but dont rush into buying a gun just cos its in your budget. find a gun thats right for you and if you have to save up a couple of extra quid (within reason ) then hang on. Try and plan for a scope etc. some dealers will sell you a quality gun and put a s**t scope on it just to get the sale which ,means you wont get the full benefit out of your gun so allow for a scope in the price if you havent already got one ! :tongue2:

THEY ARE CHEEPER FROM TURKEY-----------sorry to jump on your thred, good look on getting your gun, but MEHMET dixyhmr is

Nice 1 mate, yeah i got duped into getting the qb78 because they chucked in a sh*t scope and a laser, i payed 170 for the lot but now wish id have saved and got something better. as for what type... i like the ease of use with the c02 rifles, and dont think i could afford to run or buy a pneumatic one, the spring rifles dont really appeal to me due to the slow rate of fire. ive read quite a few reviews on the air magnum and all are pretty good but i feel i need some feedbak from you lot before i part with my cash :hmm:

One of mine is an Umarex 850:

At first it jammed quite a lot, but I was using what I think are poor RWS super points. Since changing to BSA Interceptor's it has been 100% fine.

Its accurate and relatively hard hitting and does its job well.

Im getting approx 100 - 120 shots per walther 88g bottle.

As above it came with a crappy scope attached. This has been removed and I'm having better results with the open fibre optic coloured sites, while saving cash for a better one.

A small down side is the hollow stock which feels a bit cheap.

It would be worth checking these reviews and vids:

right here we go...............for the money your looking to spend you can get a decent springer.

Co2 guns.....in my opinion......are not the gun for hunting ( proper).......i know they can be tuned etc.......but Co2 pressure fluctuates due to temperature change....thus, making them in-consistent.

for consistent and confident hunting i would always reccomend a springer over a Co2 gun.

there will be a few comments to this post, as the Co2 guns have a decent fan base......but, this is only my opinion.

the over riding factor for me is.........respect for the quarry.......which cannot be guaranteed with in-consistence.

all the best

sean.
