Grim Reaper 1
now have it zero'ed at about 10yards, obviously i know this aint enough but im getting there Its ok to start at 10 yards, thats looking good mate - Rome weren't built in a day, after all. This is the first step along the way to zero'ing the scope to rifle. The way I have always done it is to start (as you have) at 10 yards - got the scope spot on for that and then start over again at say, 15 yards. once zero'ed, increase distance from target by 5 yard increments and each time just re-adjust the turrets to get you to the stage where the pellet impact is spot bollock on to the cross hair centre - time after time. As a rule, i zero at 35 yards - I find this (for me) to be a happy medium in that i know my zero is 35 yards, and so if I had something at around 13-15 yards, i can take the shot and know that it is on for that distance too, and this is without touching the turrets at all. Any thing closer or further away from me simply means that i need to hold over or under as the case may be ( I tend to use hold over/under as I don't like to adjust my turrets once zero'ed) . I also prefer to zero this way because then if I had any incidence of the dreaded 'crossover', then i would pick it much earlier in the process. I hope this helps you some?
