I got talking to a hot food seller , last year at one of our shows, ( i do the countryside marquee ) and they were saying they were paying £800 per day for their pitch. It was still expensive for food, but they said they were trying to cover their costs and wages and then a profit. So "god knows" what the prices are like for a pitch at the big game fairs.

 

Well thats a possibility i never actually thought of. They must be raking it in the organisers of such events.Hmmm mostly a cash business aswell.Think i will put that post office job on the back burner. Before the ARVS come screaming at my door IT WAS A JOKE lol

I thought scone was pretty POOR this year there was nobody selling twine ,drawcord,rings ets ,And i was looking for filters for my lamps and all the stalls i asked said no chance . But i could of got a hot tub or garden furniture

I saw the hot tubs lol oh and i saw filters aswell mate.Guy was selling mk3 locators aswell,but i know what you mean its getting bad for pandering to the hooray henry brigade.

Scones been going down hill for years ,i honestly dont know why its held there some years it takes a hour to get out and what a sham the year the poor guy had a heart attack in the car park .It was nice to see the welsh guys and a certain bloke from yorkshire

I got there really early and left about 2 had to be back.Its just not the same as it was.However i will be back next year lol

It was far better when the big game fair came up every fourth year ,still i might get to one of the smaller ones depending on my shifts

Was up at the game fair in scone today.Went down to watch the ferret racing.Wish i hadn't lost a fiver.

No a bad wee money making scheme think i will get a stall next year lol.On a more serious note how the f**k can they justify the prices they charge for food.The day was great and lots to do but come on £4 for a plain burger roll

That much 4 a burger! I live in the southwest unfortunately but any info on ferret racing would put a on my face!
