Toggle slip lead + Terrier leads & collars

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

for those that know me on here know that I do leather stuff.

Just finished a a slip lead (nightmare to make). The clip at the bottom is hand made (not by me), they are unique & therefore I only have 4 including the one shown.

I've yet to estimate a price on this but due to the hours in this I won't be giving it away.

Here's the pic.

I'll be going to the Wensleydale show this Sunday with a few bits.

Also finished cartridge carriers & locator carriers.

Happy & safe hunting :big_boss:

The collar bit is a wrist strap me tinks, I think you just clip your collar to the brass fitting

You got it in 1 there LeeGreen, the small "collar" is a wrist strap.

I'm going to give it a try on my black dog, she's a bit heavier than a lurcher/whippet, well, a lot heavier. I'll let you know the performance of the brass clip.

Bloody hands are killing me after making it.

Update - works a treat - just had the dogs out, spot on :drinks:

not having a dig mate ..but most lads who use a toggle slip ..do so because they would rather run there dog with out a collar thats why i was intrested ,,,, dont take this the wrong way but if you had of made the collar conected to the lead if you know what i mean it would be worth spending a bit more on it ...but if you need a collar they might aswel use some nylon webbing or rope ,,,just my opinion ....tidy job though ... :victory:

No probs, if you notice in the bottom pic you can actually permanently attach the collar to the clip, so in effect the dog would loose without a collar on.

Plus, if you wanted a collar with it it would be extra! (most runners already have their favourite collars)

looks good mate, you will always get comments of people who know more are less in most cases :clapper::clapper:

my slips consist if green army cord with a knotted handle ...................... looks good though...but perhaps and expensive gadget to do a very simple job..........

Hope you sell them mate............ you certainly puts some work into it :victory:
