Kye 77
quote] Kye, I was not tryin to say that the cross was a stag at all. An American Stag is unlike any other type of cross you can imagine. It took years and years to develop it. They have some bull in them of course and many other types and breeds. I was just tryin to draw some type of similiar comparison. We have sort of had this discussion before. You were tryin to tell me to use stags in the way I hunt coyotes and I explained to you that because of the fact that I free cast that it really wouldnt work to awful well. I am gonna run some stag crosses though. Truthfully though right now I dont need them. I have some dogs that are bone crushing coyotes as of right now but who knows, they may not keep it up. Sounds good mate...yeah, some lines of Stag do have Bull in them...not all though...i think a little Bull goes along way mate, if its the right blood. Hope you have a good coming season...coyote hunting sure is a great kinda hunting...hopefully we will be getting a rig this year, so we will get a few more on the tail gate!... all the best with your dogs, i hope they turn out good for you...its always a worry with the young dogs 'aint it!? LDR 29
I think you're gonna be hard pushed to find dogs from the uk that will be of the right stuff for what you're running!!! yeah there will be some crosses that will have the right blood in them, but like you've said, we just dont have the same quarry as you!!! i know a couple of lads who's dogs are devastating on things here over and over, but whether they'd do what you need is another thing all together!!!! I've heard from a mate on here who was out in the US this year doing coyotes and he was impressed by what he saw!!! hats off to your dogs boys!!! Quote Link to post
