what sort of mouse???

hello all,

 

i was servicing a boiler today and found this little mummified mouse underneath it.

 

now..........i think its a doormouse.........unless anybody can enlighten me???

 

poor little bugger............probably only popped in for warm!!!!!!

I'd say it's a young Wood Mouse, mate. Apodemus sylvaticus. And popping in for a warm is exactly what they are prone to doing.

thats a fine looking mouse you got yourself there ;) its a big fecker, or have you got a good zoom on yer cam :D

Sorry, lads. Been working all night.

 

Sean; The adults are quite a sizeable and chunky little thing. Few inches or so body. Fur's generally yellowish brown. They have big ears and f*ck off great eyes. Live in gardens and hedgerows and have a tendency to sneak into houses, for a bit of creature comfort, during the colder weather.

 

Leepy; Not the best of angles, but I'd say that's one too. Not much else it could be really.
