Other reasons could be running with another dog or entering to early dont necessarily mean the pup will do it just be careful bringing it on...early success breeds confidence Quote Link to post
whin 463
had a pup do it but once she grew up she stopped , some do it as they are trying to hard and not settling in on the hare they miss the turn and are wild to get back to it , ive never had a slow dog so they all get on there qaurry but some want it to much hence the bark or yap , its twenty years since ive saw adog over matched and trailing behind a hare singing like ole yeller but it does happen , saw dogs do it when tired sometimes but not often as you soon learn whats in there tank and leash them up Quote Link to post

Guest Zak
thanks. she works with a whippet, but i hunt mainly rabbits, they come across the odd hare whilst mooching. so, as she doeos not do it on when lamping bunnys, is she worth breeding from with what she does after hare in the day? she is very good in other ways.
