ferretville 69
After a day at work with the sun bleaching down and me stuck indoor`s i thought i would go for a mooch up to a bit of my permission not far away. Set off just after five fed and watered and it did`nt take long to reach my destination. Thought i would have a quick scan about to see what was out , first field a few bunny`s sitting out but not to far from there sets, good enough start i thought. Problem with this field was there was absolutely no cover and i knew it was going be tuff but hey i like a challenge Off i go creeping the hedge line taking it easy ,trying not to make to much noise, but at th same time get to the chosen target. Now i had closed the gap to about fiffty yards and was just observing the bunny`s ,before closing the gap a bit more ,when they bolted for cover. What the feck i thought looking through the scope, when i see movement . Mr fox comes through a gap in the field just above were the bunny`s had been bollock`s . Next field a good few sitting out but the breeze had changed direction and was blowing my sent toward`s them,so thought i would go the opposite way round the field and come back round facing into the wind. Going well and nearing the target ,then who decide`s to drive in field with tractor bloody farmer his timing impecable well that put`s pay to this field. I`m starting to think to myself christ what has one to do to get a bloody rabbit . Move`s on to another field and looking down the field i spots a couple of bunnys sitting down munching away. Off i go steadly creeping up on there blind side ,closing the gap down. Not far to go forty yards ,little bit more i go thirty yards or there abouts i guess nice distance. Leave`s it for a minute let everything settle steady myself and take`s aim at the first one, thwack head shot down it go`s. No scarpering from the other rabbits ,next one still sitting there oblivius to it`s fate ,thwack down it go`s. Look`s and still sitting one more ,only this one know`s something ain`t right so i waste no time steady`s myself ,take aim gently squeeze the trigger and bob`s your uncle down she go`s. It was hard work and i thought it was going to be one of those nights but in the end i got there hope i did`nt bore you`s to much happy shooting FV Quote Link to post
