SMOGGY 34
Just wondering if any one can help me, I'm thinking about buying a mincer like the one underneath, for mincing rabbits for my lurcher, When i lived on a farm we just fed the rabbits to the dogs as they were, but now i live in town it's not quite as acceptable, so i thought of a mincer, are they any good? will fur and bone go through ok? what they like to use? or is it just a bad idea? any comments gratefully recieved Smoggy Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
It just having half eaten rabbits in the back yard were the kids are playing, and the smell as well, now summer is coming. just wanted something a bit cleaner and more practical How about ye feed only what the Dogs will get down their necks in short order. Then pick up anything they, by some miracle, manage to leave? I feed raw flesh and bone to my lot, in my compound - which is simply my 'garden', only so f*cking big I haven't seen parts of it yet this year. But I find each Dog likes their own spot to eat. It's not like they scatter it everywhere. They EAT it. I pick up their shit too. Summer, winter, what ever. I'd feel no fear for the risk of a childs health on my ground. I smell nothing untoward out there either. I live in the countryside. But, when I lived in an inner city, with a postage stamp for a garden, I did exactly the same thing. So, ye see? One can work the same process either way. I tried mincing their meat for them, once. Sort of thing ye looking at there? It's a hell of a chore. Ye have to strip it down and wash it free of detritus every time. It'll ruin what ever surface ye try to screw it to, tight enough that it doesn't come away in mid operation. And, if ye stick at it - or pay hundreds for a proper, electrical one? It'll still need stripping and cleaning - as will ye Dogs teeth. Quite simply, ye making a rod for ye own back by going down the route ye seem so determined to follow. I'm not trying to dictate how ye live ye new life - neighbours and the council will soon be doing that! I'm just offering a suggestion or two from personal experience. I find I'd sooner wander about with a plastic bag and pick up behind my Dogs, out in the evening air, for five minutes. Rather than slave in the kitchen for almost an hour. cursing and shouting. Then have my Dogs teeth turn brown. Anyway, see how ye get on Quote Link to post
SMOGGY 34
I know where your coming from ditch, but I can only see hassle a head with part carcasses in the back garden, it was bad enough when my ferret escaped, the neighbours weren't impressed, but for twenty quid i may give it ago,and see what happens, some lads obviously do use them which is what i wanted to know, and if it doesn't work out, it'll be back to your way cheer ditch regards smoggy Quote Link to post
