Just a simple question, when does a male dog stop growing, and particularly height wise Is it 18 mths, or 12 mths?

in height id say after 14mnths and build after two personal opinion

each and everyone is different , depends on the size / weight , of the dog or bitch , most dogs are still growing well into there 12 th month , but they differ as to the breeding type , not all pups grow the same , they cant grow up , out , lenght at the same time , thats why and how they mature differently , also it can depend on the feed they are fed , good food , good growth , bad food bad growth
