Got a bull terrier bitch that first broke down when she was only five months then agian around seven months. Apparently it was a Hormonal balance thing, it settled down and now shes every six months. Did some research into this years ago because my 1st bitch was 3yrs old before she came into season but was regular as clockwork after that, Apparently its the greyhound blood thats the cause. Some greyhounds are notoriously unpredictable when it comes to coming into heat. My fawn 3/4grey 1/4 collie only had 1/2 a season and never came fully into season she's 10yrs old now and never came into season. Had her to vets and there's nothing physically wrong with her.
