Guest JohnGalway
Hi folks, My Sako Quads trigger is adjusted down as far as it will safely go. However, since the arrival of my Jewel trigger the Sako trigger seems very heavy. Are there aftermarket triggers for Sako Quads? Or is it a gunsmith job? All help appreciated, John Quote Link to post

All help appreciated, John dont no about after market triggers for the sako quad but the one on it is cracking so see having that new one on your remmy as spoilt you now take it to a good gun smith and have him polish up the sear's and a good tidy up on it should do the trick Quote Link to post

Think if I got another Jewell unit, a hammer, a really big screwdriver and some welding gear would... No, ok, alright then. Quote Link to post

All help appreciated, John Hi John I agree the trigger does seem a little on the heavy side. I also have a Sako 75 in .243 and the trigger on that is a dream!. In the Quad hand book it mentions a set trigger, this must be an option, and I wasn't given the chance when I bough it new a year ago. Might have to get in touch with GMK to ask them. Was hoping to get an answer on here first. If it had a first class trigger on the Quad it would be faultless - in my opinion! A set trigger could be the way to go. Hope this helps a bit Cheers Fastrac 10 Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
Jamie, No I've not got the rifle bedded. I'm waiting for a good calm day to come along so I can properly test out the grouping. If I'm satisified, meaning I'm getting consistant good results then I'll likely leave well enough alone. I've got my hearing test on Tuesday, after I get that done I'll be needing to think about my moderator application and possible threading if I'm approved. Fastrac10, I don't have a set trigger on my quad either, tried one out once upon a time on a CZ and to be honest I didn't like it one bit. I like light triggers but not that light. I have been told that Jackson Rifles do a CG Universal trigger that will fit my Quad. Been in touch with Pete Jackson and he can send one to my firearms dealer no problem so I'll likely go with that option. I think I'll need a gunsmith to fit this one however. Quote Link to post

If you go ahead with this option I would really like to know how you get on with it, also if you wouldn't mind would quite like to know the cost involved! Good luck Fastrac10 Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
I will be getting one I can't yet promise a time frame though due to the involvement of the gunsmith, never delt with one before so I've to sound that out yet. I'll post details when I get it up and running Quote Link to post
