normally, im a person who will think "when i die.... do whatever you want with me, chuck me in the river, whatever is cheaper"

BUT, when i put my dogs in the equation, its a completely different matter & i become a soft b@stard

I hate thinking about when i die, im not bothered about me its just the people and things you leave behind ie the kids, dogs and hubby oh and the rest of the family lol when our rottie bitch died nearly a year ago next month we where devistated as it was sudden but we paid top wack for her ashes to be put in a lovely wooden box with her name on, which has pride of place on the unit. RIP ellie x

I hope to leave as few Dogs as I can behind. I'm concious that I probably only have barely a Dog left in me now.

Any I do leave, I'll have it in my Will that no b*stard's ever to mutillate them and I'll be looking for decent homes as soon as (and if I get the chance ) I feel I may be on the way out.

Mheanwhile, now I've finally settled, I've buried two of my Dogs on my ground here and intend to create a proper little Dog cemetary in the place. I have the ashes of half a dozen of my old Dogs, which I've carried from pillar to post down the years. Once I've done up there, I'll bury each ones ashes and properly mark their spots too.

When I go? They can sling mine over the the place and I'll be happy again, back with all my loved ones :)

lol Sulurian

i cant even go out of town for a day without something bad happening to my dogs.

had a beautiful little coyote dog that i "inherited" when my grandad died - she was completely off her rocker, couldnt see straight and would trip up the stairs - but she was a sweet little dog and very loyal and loved to carrying around a ball as long as it squeaked... however she didnt like the bulldog. i had a routine worked out to keep them well apart from each other and it was working out just fine until my husband wanted to take me out to St. Augustine to celebrate our marriage... just a little day trip. left the kid at home and everything. on our way back from having a day of fun it was ruined by my mom's frantic call telling me the two dogs were fighting and the bulldog was winning.....

well... thats just one story... i have several others where i have left my dogs or pets in the care of someone only to come back to find them dead, dying, or injured. one dog was left tied up with the chain knotted up to his neck so he couldnt even get water while the "man in charge" was inside on the computer....

the kindest thing for my crew would be take them with me. my husband only tolerates the dogs because they're mine. if i wasnt around anymore he'd probably end up giving them away to God only knows who. and i wouldnt blame him for that. he's just not dog savvy because he wasnt raised that way. my dogs have been my life ever since i was old enough to grab one by the ears and kiss its nose.
