stringer 1
A mate in Kilmarnock has said that he was contacted about a visit around 2 weeks after sending in his forms. I'm also in Kilmarnock and sent my forms off just over a week ago, so hoping they are as quick with me. It wont do any harm to make a call mate. I spoke to Pitt street when filling in the forms and they were very helpful. Let us know how it goes, like wise if I hear anything then I will let you know. Stephen Quote Link to post
Foxgun Tom 75
I certainly would ask or pester them!! as to how long it takes? As a public body they have an obligation to answer any reasonable request from any member of the public T0m Hi john it took me about six weeks all in to my sgc just leave it alone they don't like to be pestered they will get back to you Quote Link to post
tjpippa 0
Hi. If you have not heard from them since Feb then I would call and ask how its going. Most of the time you should hear from the firearms enquiry officer to arrange a visit to see you normally within a month. If you havent heard then make sure it hasn't gone missing. Most departments are more than willing to help people out by answering questions. I phoned up about my firearms certificate to say it was gonna take another 8 weeks to print...I got it within two weeks. Good luck. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
yes wont do no harm in phoning them and politely asking about your visit mite even speed it up i phone and ask them if i have been waiting for my fac to return and there more the helpful. when you get it the odd tin of sweets taken round to the hq if your not to far from them helps if you want anything in the future Quote Link to post
