Is there anyway you could record the birds yourself?...........peg some carrion out and you should have them chattering away like mad.........!

i always get sum straw make it look like a nest with broken eggs and 2 rubber eggs i put a magpie decoy around the nest and i use a old pack of matches to call them in with a cupple of pellets in there as soon as they hear the call and look and see the maggie decoy theres no stopping them mate all you have to do then mate is wait for them to lift there head up and put a pellet in them mate

The next time you pass an unfortunate owl dead on the roadside stop and pick it up, and pop it into the freezer. Whenever you need to sort out any member of the crow family dig it out, set it up on a prominant post, hide yourself away with the shotgun and wait . . .

Would it not be better to buy a decoy than a frozen dead owl ?

They do work but not as well. The real thing is much better but since it is illegal to use live animals to attract others (like the old use of a pegged ferret on a line) then a dead one is as good as you can do these days.

An RTA owl is what I have used with good success in the past.
