a stressful evening

Recommended Posts

I headed out about 2PM this afternoon, about 15 miles from home. As usual, i kept flint on the lead, so Jet can get his silly-ness out the way, and doesnt pester flint.#

I walked a couple of fields and let flint off. He was pottering about, see what he could see. When i noticed a roe buck. I give flint a shout so i could lead him up. But he decided to blatantly ignore me and piss off over the moss (complete different direction from the deer i seen)

I waited for him to come back, and after half an hour i thought i had better go for a look for him. No sign. I thought perhaps he had headed back to the van, so i walked the half mile back, and there was no sign of him. So i went back to the spot where he went missing, and searched high & low. No sign.

By this time, it had started raining, and i was soaked through. I decided i should take jet back home, and get a mate to come back out with me later on.

Going through one of the fields i seen : -

I got back home, dropped jet off & fed him. I called my mate to say i think we should wait until the early hours and go back for a look.

Sitting at my girlfriends, Pondering, what i should do. I quickly decided i should head out for a quick look. She & the kids came along.

We drove out, and the g/f spotted a bambi, which was the last thing on my mind.. A few fields further, she seen a black figure, so i stopped the van, put my park anywhere lights on.... and shouted " flint " this black figure came hurling towards me, tail wagging. It was the dog :D

So i got him in the van, dried him off with a towel.

We turned back round and headed home, when we seen : -
