legal loop hole

i think it was at loch fad where i sometimes go fly fishing on the isle of bute some antis came down in a car jumped out snapped some old guys rods and threw him in.

 

that happened near to us aswell...........at a private trout fishery.........4 antis dressed up like the milk tray man ( james bond/SAS, for younger veiwers) snapped a LADIES rod and threw her in.........and vandalised all the cars in the car park....................poor cow was on a sporting ticket, catch and release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a few years ago an old gent early sixties i beleive was fishing for salmon he was in the river up to his waist .When approached by two lads who started to abuse him verbally and throw stones at him ,they thought they had an easy victim as it turned out the man fishing was a retiered sas captain ,he waded back to shore and again both yobs were acting aggressively sugesting they were going to throw him into the river and destoy his rod and tackle both the hooligans were dealt with accordinly :boxing: and he made a citezen arrest the police officer that attended the incedent was a pro hunting supporter and the pair were both charged with aggrivated assault they dont all ways get their own way :thumbs::laugh:

I remember that story well it hit the national angling press at the time, apparently they had gone to disrupt a shoot which had been called off and having nothing else to do and no point whatsoever to make they descended on a fishery local to the shoot to cause trouble, the lady concerned had been left the rod by her father and was a nurse, someone who cares for the weak in society enjoying a day off work when she was attacked, one woman was even punched, the lady whos rod was smashed said it wouldnt put her off fishing, what a balls out lady, and what an 'own goal' these tossers scored this time out
