wabbithunter_15 0
Hello i am in need of a letter that some one may use asking for land permission people say they sent letters to local farmers/landowners asking if they may use their land for hunting eg... Does anybody have a sample letter saved onto their pc that they could share with me please as i find it hard to word letters correctly. Many thanks Danny

SportingShooter 0
Wabbithunter, Sorry to put a bit of a dampner on things but by far and away the best method is to go in person to ask for permission, the landowner can then judge your character and integrity, it also gives you an opportunity to impress your values on him such as responsible, safe etc as well as an opportunity to show him your insurance details and firearms certificates. I am uneasy with the idea put forward by My Dogs Aguire, I wouldnt want an armed man on my land especially in Northern Ireland(no offence intended), people are understandable uneasy about guns over there with you. Just some healthy advice. Regards ss06

Sending letters to farmers and landowners can have it's merits if you follow it up with a knock on the door a few days later, introduce yourself and ask if he/she has had a chance to read the letter. Guest manda
the best way i think is what ratman said, if you just go knocking on doors 9 times out of 10 as soon as you say the first few words they dont wanna know before you get chance to get your whole speech out (i speak from personal experience). where as with a letter they can sit at their leisure and read the full thing without feeling pressured, i myself have just sent out 50 letters hopefully it will pay off even if its just one reply! scott p.s if you have a trade offer your services, my good mate is a bricklayer and dry stone waller, he also has dogs so will do any work the land owner wants (within reason lol) in exchange for permission
wabbithunter_15 0
Its not for shooting just ferreting land. What i done was drive to around 5 farms, meet the farmer and at the end of the talk give him that piece of paper with the words ferreting where it says shooting
Guest manda
yep ferreting is probably the easiest to get, i have added that on my letter, trying not to mention dogs until he trusts me (if i get any lol)
Guest MyDogsAGuire
I was speaking from a strictly dogs point of view
speedlamper 0
just go up to the farm or whatever knock on the door and when the farmer answers ask if u can fu@k his daughter, when he says no ask if you can shoot/ferret on his land instead then p.s let us know how you get on Edited April 14, 2008 by speedlamper
