young1982 1
I've just started trying to squeak foxes in by hand and I'm looking for some tips to help perfect my technique. At present I'm using two fingers to cover my mouth and then by sucking in air at one corner I can get quite a good squeaking sound going, the problem I'm finding is getting it going in the first place and keeping it going because after a few mins my lips go to shite a my mouth can't take it anymore. If anyone has any tips or pointers my I would appreciate it. Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
Would buying a fox call be an unconstructive answer? Something like a WAM, most effective ive found, i have four now and it seems to attract them the most. Saves your mouth getting dry anyway. Regards ss06 Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
I just use the back of my hand. Near the crook of thumb and forefinger. Sort of 'kiss' whilst keeping the hand slightly turned away. Bit like when Charles went to kiss Diana at that polo match. But not half as turning as that. Would ye believe it; I have no top teeth now and so can only manage infuriatingly short squeaks at a time?! My top lip sort of gets sucked in and f*cks everything up I'd buy a caller, but I don't get to squeak that many foxes now as to make it such a big issue. My short burst transmissions still do the trick when there's one out there Quote Link to post

dytkos 18,038
Hand squeaking. It's a thing you need to practice. I have had strange looks at work whilst practising. It's also different trying to do it on a windy night out in the rain rather than in a "sterile" environment. That's why I use a caller. About £4 from E Bay including postage. Cheers, D.
