Legal limit for a pistol is 6 ft / lb and a lot of them are a lot less than that (2-3 ft/lb ). Consistent accuracy is only good to about 10 yds , even with a red dot . John Quote Link to post

Deker 3,491 Posted April 11, 2008 Report Share Posted April 11, 2008 Absolutely 100% NOT for shooting GAME! A 12ft lb Air Rifle is not deemed suitable for GAME. Depending upon the tools I am out shooting with and the quarry, I do sometimes carry my BSA Magnum in .177 for point blank dispatch if required. Loaded with Bisley Premier at 11.27g, and pointed, it works well, but it is NOT a hunting tool! Cheers Quote Link to post
