IanB 0
Last month I received response from UK police, asking for certain information with regard to some members posting threats and public/private information of certain anti-hunting individuals on the forum. They wanted IP addresses, I removed the offending posts and told them I didn't want to give the private information of members...they commented on further investigations.. Please don't post public information of antis OR threatening posts, it justs causes hassle for myself... , you know the score

swanseajack 228
They wanted IP addresses, I removed the offending posts and told them I didn't want to give the private information of members...they commented on further investigations.. Just a question: they can request information such as IP addresses for the threatening posts, if this information is not forthcoming can they DEMAND them of you, where does the law stand on this ??? IanB 0
Yes they can demand them, theres two acts they use to gain this but I'm not 100% if they are only regarding UK laws, hosted sites, etc This site is setup in the states, I'm not sure on the laws and the affect other countries can have, when individual countries laws are involved.. Its the second time they have contacted me, they did earlier in the year concerning images posted with threatening comments... So just be cautious when posting anything blatant, this goes for posts and members on other websites too...
