dickyboy 1
Right feeling wound up!! I have fox fever, reqally bad, The Story.......... Been shooting a while at night with 222, 2years ish, Slowly practiced my self till i had a peak fox shooting time, december last year to middle of feb this year where i shot around foxes without missing once!! (not blowing trumpet or anything) These foxes were out to 259yardsmostly under 100 but some cracking shots(ok a little trumpet blowing) BUT its all fallen apart i've started missing and can't stop, i have missed about 18-20 since feb and hit about 8, absolutely unbelieveable, the thing is i shot a rabbit at about 150-160 just after i managed to miss a fox at 90yards Its doing my head in!! Has anyone suffered from this? and how do i cure it? Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
A good cleaning of the rifle, if not done already, solvent and copper remover, then a trip to the range to see whats happening on paper. this would be the way i would go. Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
SS has it right. Stop shooting at foxes for the moment until your confidence returns. Paper punching to be the order of the day. I would also try a little light hearted plinking. Shooting up bottles of water, trying to hit a certain part of the logo and so forth, de-stressing to a degree! Quote Link to post
dickyboy 1
thats the thing cleaned and decopper rifle regularly..........can get 1" group on the range can shoot as many rabbits as i like but make it a fox and i go all shit!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh!!!!! my heart rate goes through the roof and i snatch the trigger..........i think it all started going wrong when my reloader cocked up the bullets and they were scattering confidence fell, to get it back up i need to pick up foxes but i can't as i keep missing, vicious(horrible) circle!!!
