para1 11
greyhound ferrets full stop was awhite type of ferret that was strong boned and could killl arabbit they got the name from the old miners greyhound was white and polecat was dark got oneold greyhound type bitch left she is no weasel tho pretty long and strong she kills rabbits and stays till the warren is empty a god type but the real greyhound type well its been yrs since ive saw them long thin heavy bones and good rabbiters etc got a few pics of them but dont no how to [put them up but showed them to people etc Here we go again whin same shit different day. What's your problem Para mate? So their isn't a special breed of ferret called a greyhound ferret. No one's saying that they're a seperate breed, it's just a name for a small thin ferret. People call ferrets with polecat markings, polecats. It don't mean they're polecats though does it? How come you don't pop up every time some one talks about their polecat hob, etc. A greyhound ferret IS special ferret with great working ability and should not be confused with the pathetic small ferrets, misfits normally produced by breeding brother to sister. The rest of the litter being culled at birth having visible deformities. Yes small ferrets do work if you have all day to wait for them to bolt strong rabbits that don't want to bolt :bye: Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
Well me personally i dont contribute a great deal to the questions being asked about the working side of keeping ferrets , basically because its the area i have least experience in, but i do read the posts & try to take in whats being advised , so that i can then put the ideas into practice. I think we all have something to offer, in my case the experiences i have had over the years regarding the ferrets them selves . We all pick up ideas & tips along the way & i do think this forum in particular has the best in way of good basic ferret knowledge as well as the ins & outs of the working side, i dont think theres anywhere else to match it as a whole Quote Link to post
