A week with the little hounds

Monday was spent out with the local pack of Beagles they met nextdoor we left the meet well fed and well watered crossed over the road and into the first field the huntsman had no idea where the trail had been laid just to add to the fun. Nothing in the first field but found in the second one it was quite patchy but in true beagle fashion it wasn't long before hounds owned the line and they did well after that for the best part of the afternoon.

 

Tuesday I was out with Christchurch and Farley Hill Beagles they're a college pack from Oxford and are hunted by different huntsman Tuesday was the turn of a keen young lady who showed some good sport.

 

 

 

Wednesday was the turn of the Purbeck and Bovington Beagles and an enjoyable day was had with then too they found plenty of trails and ran the moor all day long in huge circles it was good viewing.

 

 

Thursday was a day of rest

 

But today was a belter with the Ryeford again they had a great time as always and accounted for well over 25 rabbits

 

 

Tommorrow I'm out with the local pack again and Tuesday the foxhounds are having their last meet so it'll soon be that horrible time of year again and the countdown until next season will begin yis Levs

Yes they do mate some of the rabbits can give a nasty bite down here

All starting to wind down a bit now too whitser so I don't suppose we'll se many more this season either
