dont worry about that little lump its the two big lumps under neath that which lets you know when he is in season . if his bollocks havent dropped yet he will be infertile , if they are still in the body cavity they will be to warm and cant produce viable sperm they have to be outside the body so they can cool down enough to function properly .

sounds like i know what im talking about but its something i read in a book really :whistling:

His testicals will be visable just have a look underneath & they should be there, if not they have temperaly gone back up in the warm

Last year I had one litter and the jill decided to have her kits in my bed :whistling:

If anyone is interested and they want their jills taken out of season we meet somewhere close to me for a donation or a couple of rabbits they can use my vasectomised hob :hmm::drink:

so why have you not put your details up in the pinned topic, top of ferret section, titled owners with vasectamised hobs

but meeting "close to you" is a bit slap dash, better if members can bring a jill to you, to go in with the hob for a few days

not really something that can be done in a pub car park

how old is your hob?

normally a hob comes into breeding condition, and stays that way, my hobs (4) all have humungous testicals (bollocks) on them, they dont appear and disappear on different days, even with the drop in tempreture,

yh just noticed it i have had him for a week but have never really looked underneath him like, and mine is a polecat so his bollocks have dark hair on them and i didnt notice them.... but they are big.... now that i have noticed

also i do alot of reservois fishing and in i believe james mckay's book it sais feed your ferrets, on fish but not oily fish, like makrel, but something like trout or plaice, i have fed them trout and they love it but it become annoying when u have to stand there for like half an hour and make sure there are no bones in there, how will a ferret cope with maybe one or 2 bones in the fish any ideas....
