Put the lamping light inside, put the lid on, switch off the lights and hold the egg against the hole. Perfect, costs nothing and works a treat.
lgray88 4
it needs to be battery operated as im goin to get some wild bird eggs to eat and i dont want to end up with a chick in one, as i prefer them boiled Edited February 28, 2008 by lgray88

jasper65 6
I use a "Brinsea Cool Lume". its a cracking bit of kit and lights up eggs I have had trouble viewing in the past, it'll light game eggs up like a christmas tree so something this powerful isn't needed! but some of the thicker or Opaque eggs which are harder to candle this Lume will do the job. I used to use a old slide projector years ago with a peice of Tyre inner tube with a hole puched in it layed over the lense, it was fine and did the job perfect until it busted....
