Missie 1
I took the dogs up to my dad's farm and actually remembered the camera. There are some pretty pap pics and some video of them all. I know they aren't working or anything but they are having a bit of fun. They spotted a couple of rabbits but they were too close to the railwayline to be caught. Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Littlehampton, do you know it? i know where it is but thats about it im from Haywards Heath area, live with the OH (assasingirl), Tyla, Parker and the four ferrets. its nice to see a few people active on here that are a bit more local. Dont know hardly anyone who's into dogs etc round here so we are pretty much self taught You should bring your dogs over to the lure coursing thats run by Ghostlyease on the A23, its mostly bullbreeds at the moment but they are trying to encourage more running dogs. Sounds bizarre but the dogs love it! Quote Link to post
Missie 1
They have done lure coursing. Paris (the brindle) is a bit old now but the lurcher loves it! Are you talking about Sussex Longdogs? They are based near Hellingly, is it the same one? We were at Peterborough in October for the Lurcherlink charity coursing day. Quote Link to post

No, not Sussex Longdogs, although i'd be interested to go there when they start up again. These guys do it at Warninglid on the A23, they are just getting it sorted but its well worth a visit. PM Ghostlyease for the next dates, it would be nice to have some other running dogs to run against. Apparently there were a few more last time but i missed it as Tyla was in season Quote Link to post
rabitin girl 16
Nice dogs Missie Quote Link to post

I'm hoping I can persuade Phoenix (black grey) to have a go, he's showing more interest than he did but i'm not sure if he'll actually run or not. Quote Link to post
Irish Lurcher 1,013
Your hounds are almost as nice as you. Quote Link to post
Missie 1
Aww, thank you. Quote Link to post

Do you work yours to quarry too? Quote Link to post
Missie 1
He showed no interest at the Lurcher Link event in October even though the other two were behaving like nutters to get the lure but he does seem to have more of a chase instinct now. I'd only had him a couple of days then though and was supposed to be finding him a home but he stayed with me instead. They are predominantly pets, i'd like to do more with Griff the lurcher as he has shown some promise out and about on the farm. Paris, the brindle has taken a few rabbits but is getting on a bit now.
