mstewart1982@hotmail.com 0
hi, im looking at buying a .223 for varmint control and wanted to get the bushmaster varminter, but up here in canada its a restricted weapon which makes it god awful to transport around, as you have to apply to transport it. so my question was... is there anything else that is comparable to the bushmaster out there? many thanks Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
Hi I have a friend whos an ex London house gunsmith. He builds his own 22-250 rifles over here plus custom varmint rifles. He always says the Remmington 700 is one of the best 'off the peg' rifles. One thing springs to mind! All rifles are accurate its the person shooting who oftem isnt!!!!!!!!!!! Edited February 17, 2008 by masmiffy Quote Link to post
Deker 3,491
155-310 Metres (ish) is getting a bit on the long side for everyday .223 whichever way you want to look at it. ALL the hunting tools are going to give you very similar performance. I know nothing of the laws over there and you make no mention of your type of Varmint, but May I suggest you think about 22-250 anyway which will give you the edge in accuracy (and stopping power) over these distances!
