The gun was fitted with an Airmax Compact WA s/f scope (as all our guns are) although I don't think it came with a mod and he popped on a spare HW mod which did the trick very well. It may sound a bit odd but I really don't remember what cal however I think it was a .22. Shooting the gun around a farm where we shot many feral pigeon along with some wood pigeon and crows all around the barn roofs and it did a bloody good job, short making it very quick to get on target although heavy in the air bottle stock which is steel and not aluminium or carbon. Most of the targets were between 15 to 30yds which proved to be no issue at all. I did take a few birds at just over 42yd (the barn roof length) and again no problem. Quite accurate really but the one thing that put me off was my face resting on a high pressure air tank. Now I know the FX Verminator is the same but somehow they just feel better mainly due to the overall feel in the shoulder and the other aspect for me was that the air tank stock is way to long. I did strip the recoil pad assembly down to get a better length but the bottom line was it just was not for me. If it fits you with the scope in place (I suggest you put a scope on one before you hand over the cash) then go for it as it will do a decent job for you but I must say there are much better guns out there with great performance and weight/balance but more expensive. There is another one in the series, the NP 03 which has an air cylinder compared to a bottle making it lighter and it also has an adjustable stock but it feels cheap to me. Hope that helps. big napper 3,698 Posted Saturday at 20:20 Author Report Share Posted Saturday at 20:20 Cheers phil yes thanks for that pal, Iv still got my green hw100 but i just got this kral for my grandson, bit too heavy for him, Anyway i tried it out and i was well impressed with it, Got some ferals and 2 squirrels, longest shot about 40 45 mtrs, Its great with the power adjuster for inside sheds/ barns, I cronoed it with bisley mags at 11.8 at highest setting and 4 at lowest, 3 settings inbetween were 6, 8 and 10, so its a handy thing to have, Anyway too heavy for grandson so il see whats what with it, Cheers for info phil 1 Quote Link to post
