Long nets

Started making another long net to pass the time then realised just how big a task its going to be but I will persevere.

Do longnetters who make their own nets knit the net or buy a bale of netting. If a bale wheres best place to buy from.

Most will just buy a set up or sheets of machine made netting ,, doubt many folk are kicking them by hand these days ,, I'm knitting one at present,, but just doing a bit now and then ,, you can buy the sheets ,, 4z nylon up to 12z from advanced nets who have a web page ,, think they are out of stock at present though ,, but probably due a delivery soon

What weight of mesh would you recommend

I personally wouldn't use anything above 6z ,, the mesh size are usually 4" to 4 1/4" (full mesh) .
