Few hours on the river.

Not done too bad this afternoon. My lads caught 3 me 1. Brought him to catch his first barbel. I caught the first fish. Put my rod down. Wanted him to catch one. 3 isn't bad for his first time.

Well it's been nice to spend some time with my eldest lad today. Ended up leaving with 3 barbel in the net. Me with 1 in the net first fish. Got to bank at 12.30. set up. By 1 o'clock was into the first fish. Set off home at 5 o'clock. Home to a nice Sunday dinner for me and lad.

Another good season yesterday with lad & his pal. His pal had beginners luck caught 2 first time barbel fishing. Me and lad had one each. Mine was a manky fecker looked like it had been nearly prey to the local otters. It's body was bent near the tail end. But still surviving with the injury.
