philpot 5,069
Is anyone heading to Harrogate for the National Shooting show this weekend. I have tickets and will be going on Saturday all being well with the boss so we will see what she is going to buy me although having spent a fair bit of cash on remodelling the garden this last week, not sure there is any money left for buying shooting stuff BUT YOU NEVER KNOW. philpot 5,069
At the last minute we had to cancel our visit to the show and I gave the tickets away however I have heard from a few reviews on another forum that the show was rubbish so perhaps we didn't miss to much. Quote Link to post
Stavross 17,148
It was terrible, me and a mate went on Sunday and it was empty, we normally have the best part of the day there but this time we got there at 9 and left just after 12, I’ve just had an email saying it won’t be there next year and it’s been moved to Stoneleigh next year which is about a 3:45 hour drive from me so won’t be going to that oh yeah, and it was £6.70 for a can of cider Edited May 13 by Stavross 1 Quote Link to post
mitre 158
Just have to remember not to bother next year and if you want cider cheaper at your local supermarket that's is well over the top for a tin of cider Quote Link to post

I wonder if the Doncaster show will step up to the mark and get a bit bigger. For a couple of years a few from this forum met at the show which was great but with ill health and life burdens it has gone by the wayside. All good things seem to come to an end. Stavross 17,148
It is a shame, I’ve been going to it since it started, the first two years were really good, then it started going downhill, there was very few firearms dealers there this year and no air rifle stands, it was good for me because it’s half a hour from my house, I certainly won’t be driving to Stoneleigh, it will take me about 3 hours 1 Quote Link to post
